HOUSE LEGENDS HOST SUBCULTURE ON SATURDAY!!

24th April, 2008

Celebrating over 20 years at the top, Sub Club legends Harri & Domenic will bring the unique sound of Subculture to Live at Loch Lomond on Saturday 2nd August 2008. The Sub Club needs no introduction and is quoted by DJs such as Carl Craig and Derrick Carter as one of the best venues to play in the world. Featuring very special guest, Dennis Ferrer, this promises to be one of the highlights of the weekend.

Probably best known for his catalogue of work on labels like Large Records, Ibadan and Defected, Ferrer has been schooled by house and electronic music’s leading lights of the last 15 years including 1990s acid techno pioneer, Damon Wild (behind Synewave Records) Kerri Chandler, who set up a studio for Ferrer in his front room, and Kerri’s good friend Jerome Sydenham, who taught Ferrer arrangements and nuances in records.

Ferrer is an exceptional producer who writes 90% of what you hear on his records from melodies to beats, with his speciality being songs. He has produced some of house music’s biggest records of the last three years: Sandcastles, Son of Raw, Timbuktu, Most Precious Love, The Cure & The Cause and possibly the biggest club record of 06-07, Touched the Sky.

Live at Loch Lomond’s organisers are delighted by this coup and are looking forward to offering festival goers a chance to hear the best house music has to offer, in addition to its already eclectic line up.
